Carne supports great point entertainment income trust IPO
Carne Group Appointed Authorised Investment Fund Manager
LONDON, 15 February 2021: Carne Group, the leading digitally driven industry platform for the Global Asset Management industry, has been appointed Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) for Great Point Entertainment Income Trust PLC (GPEIT) ahead of its planned £200m flotation on the London Stock Exchange.
GPEIT is a newly established, externally managed closed-ended investment company and is intending to float on the Specialist Fund Segment of the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange on 9th March 2021. GPEIT will be the first investment trust to provide project finance to content makers and commissioners in the global television and film production industry via senior loans secured against pre-sold intellectual property (“IP”) rights. GPEIT’s investment objective is to provide Shareholders with dividend income and modest capital growth through exposure to media content finance.
The Company’s Investment Adviser, Great Point Investments Limited, has a proven track record for funding high quality productions having produced, financed and distributed £2 billion of content, with £488 million invested in content production since 2013.
GPEIT’s Prospectus has been approved by the Financial Conduct Authority and can be found on the Company’s website at www.gpeit.com.
