COVID-19-Global-Update

As part of our commitment to keeping you informed, please find below this week’s update in relation to our response to the spread of COVID-19. Employees from all Carne office locations including Ireland, UK, Luxembourg, US, Channel Islands, Portugal, Switzerland and the Cayman Islands are now working from home.

The latest significant development took place on Friday 27th March, when the Irish Government announced further restrictions on businesses and people in order to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus within Ireland. These new restrictions, which apply to non-essential workers, will remain in place until Sunday, April 12th. Whilst Financial Services employees in Ireland are categorised as essential workers, we took the decision to implement a 100% working from home model for employees in our Dublin, Kilkenny and Wexford offices effective today, Monday 30th March. As well as playing our part in reducing the spread of the virus, we believe that this is the right decision for the health and wellbeing of our employees.

Commenting on our total global workforce moving to remote working, our Group Head of HR, Ciara Heslin, said: “Each and every one of our employees across the globe is fully embracing this new way of working. Engagement levels remain exceptionally high with Microsoft Teams being used for regular meetings, video calls and updates. In addition to this, our internal communications platform is allowing everyone to stay connected and up to date about what’s happening across the business.”

From an operations perspective, we are operating business as usual. Our investment in technology over many years has allowed us to help clients operate more efficiently and effectively, and in turn, we are benefiting from these same efficiencies. Whilst our homes will now become our offices, our commitment to helping you to navigate the challenges ahead remains unchanged.

We will continue to communicate with you on a weekly basis so that you remain informed and up to date. In the meantime, if you have any questions your Carne Relationship Manager will be more than happy to help.

Wishing you a safe and successful week.
