On the night of October 15th, people from all over Ireland took part in the annual Shine A Light Night sleep out.

Shine A Light Night was launched in 2015 by Focus Ireland, a non-profit organisation that supports homeless and vulnerable people in the country. Every year business leaders and communities sleep out for one night to raise awareness and money to support those experiencing homelessness. In 2020 Focus Ireland raised over €1.6 million used to support a record 1,829 households to avoid homelessness or move to a secure home of their own.

At Carne respect, kindness and a focus on our communities are values that are very important to us, and we were delighted to be able to take part in this initiative again this year. Thanks to the support and generosity of staff, industry colleagues and our families and friends we managed to raise over €3,500 for Focus Ireland. Our Ireland Country Head, Yvonne Connolly and Head of Business Development, Ireland, Patrick O’Brien also took part in the Irish Fund’s sleep out and together with industry colleagues raised a fantastic €67,000.
