Riyaz Nooruddin

Riyaz Nooruddin is a highly experienced independent director with Carne, where he oversees governance for investment funds with a wide variety of structures and strategies. He is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience in the asset management sector, gained through positions held in major financial centres including London, the Cayman Islands, and the Channel Islands.

Prior to joining Carne, Riyaz was an Executive Director at Waystone, where he served as an independent director to an extensive portfolio as well as head of the corporate services business line in the Cayman Islands. He was also previously the Head of Fund Accounting at BNP Paribas in the Channel Islands, where he successfully led a large team to deliver fund services solutions to a suite of international clients. He has worked at PwC in the Cayman Islands and in London, auditing a range of investment vehicles from start-ups to multi-billion-dollar funds with a wide variety of strategies.

Riyaz is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and a member of the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Leeds.
