Christopher Day has over 30 years’ experience in the asset management industry, with expertise spanning fund governance, investment banking and prime brokerage services. He has extensive knowledge of Cayman, Irish, Luxembourg, UK, and Channel Islands fund structures and significant board-level experience across multiple asset classes, including traditional and alternative investments, equities, credit, fixed income, private equity, infrastructure, and real estate. As a Managing Director in Carne’s London office, Christopher acts as a non-executive director for a range of alternative and traditional funds. He has been actively involved in governance, oversight, and regulatory compliance, advising asset managers on best practices across multiple jurisdictions.
Previously, Christopher held a senior role in Deutsche Bank’s management and consulting team in London and Hong Kong, working within the firm’s alternative funds business. His responsibilities spanned consulting, sales, financing, clearing, controls, margin, legal, and credit. He also worked closely with administrators, custodians, and service providers, ensuring seamless operational support for investment managers.
Earlier in his career, he held key roles at Bankers Trust, NatWest Markets, Prudential Bache Securities, and Credit Suisse Buckmaster & Moore Securities, gaining broad expertise in financial markets and institutional fund structures.
