Chris Atkinson

As Chief Innovation Officer at Carne, Chris is responsible for leading the identification and delivery of opportunities that optimise Carne’s ability to more effectively deliver our client services and products. Chris leads the teams responsible for delivering change programmes, data operations, and information security, across the group. He is a member of Carne’s Global Executive Committee and chairs Carne’s Global Operating Committee.

Chris has 25 years’ experience leading business and IT teams in the delivery and operation of complex IT platforms to serve clients and deliver on business commitments. His background is in Financial Services where he has led significant UK banking industry change programmes, including the delivering of £100m+ business and systems change programmes, with accountability to the Board and executive management.

Previously, Chris has served as Chief Information Officer and Change Director, both for a UK retail bank, in addition to senior roles at global management consulting firms defining and implementing cross-business profitability improvements, new IT operating models, and technology delivery programmes.
