John Herlihy

John Herlihy is Chairperson of Carne’s board of directors. He is a non-executive director and investor, with 30 years’ experience in scaling technology innovators.

From 2015 to early 2021, John was Vice President at LinkedIn for EMEA and Latin America, driving the company’s strategic direction in the regions and fostering business and member growth. Prior to that, he spent a decade as Vice President at Google, where he held a number of international roles and scaled its EMEA online sales and operations across that region.

John has also held senior management positions at companies including First Data, PeopleSoft, Adobe Systems and Oracle Corporation in his career.

A chartered accountant, John holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin and was awarded an honorary Doctorate in Economic Science by University of Limerick.
